The benchmark indices gained today and jumped higher after losses in previous sessions. The market recovered from the red figures from past 4 sessions today as Auto stocks shine and Reliance and HDFC Bank providing major support to the market.
At closing, Sensex gained 748.31 points or 2.03% to close at 37687.91, Nifty stood at 11102.85 rallying 211.25 points or 1.94% – A boosted trading session overall.
HDFC Bank surged 5% after the company sought approval from RBI to appoint Sashidhar Jagdishan as the new CEO of the Bank from 27th October.

- Zee Entertain adding 9 points and nearly 7% to touch the day’s high at Rs 144.90.
- Torrent Pharma, Cadila Health, Mindtree among the major stocks that hit the 52-Week high mark today.
- Tech Mahindra, BPCL and IndusInd bank dipped over 2% each.
