On June 20, the Kolkata-based company has said that it comes to establish frozen food as well as tetra milk pack businesses across the country in the next two-three years.
Additionally, it is aiming to increase 10 per cent in turnover to ₹1,100 crore in the current 2021-22 fiscal from ₹1,000 crore in the last fiscal. Much of the revenue might come from frozen foods and tetra pack milk businesses.
As said to PTI, the CEO of Keventer Agro, Sunil Kajararia has stated that the company is planning to keep its pouch milk and branded banana businesses at regional level whilst expanding frozen foods along with tetra pack milk businesses all over the country. “Right now, the focus is on these two businesses – tetra pack milk and frozen foods – where we think that we can establish across India in the next 2-3 years”, the CEO added.
The company had began the category of frozen foods four years back. Until last year, it was present in east India with 10 per cent of the country’s total frozen food market.
Kajararia continued, “Up to last year, we were concentrating in the east. We are in a significant part of north India now and plan to expand in the south and west soon.” Five years ago, it entered the frozen food segment with veggies as well as added non-vegetarian items in the next four-five years. Presently, the frozen foods portfolio consists of around 54 items.
About Keventer Agro’s tetra pack milk business, the CEO has informed that it plans to increase the ultra high level temperature treated tetra pack milk business at the national level for which an investment of ₹100 crore was made on a plant two and a half years back.
