Shares of Info Edge (India) slipped nearly 1.7% to Rs 1,355 levels on Monday morning, compared to Friday’s close of Rs 1,378.30. The stock opened weaker and traded in the range of Rs 1,351.90 – Rs 1,375 in early deals. The company currently carries a market cap of around Rs 876.75 crore on the NSE.

The sentiment comes as the company reported that overall hiring activity in October fell 9 percent year-on-year owing largely to Diwali-related seasonality. However, on an adjusted basis, hiring activity has grown 3 percent, indicating continued resilience in underlying demand across sectors.

Info Edge — which operates platforms including Naukri.com, 99acres, Jeevansathi, and Shiksha — remains a key barometer of the Indian employment market. The October data suggests festive slowdowns impacted overall job activity, while core hiring trends remain stable with early signs of improvement.

Info Edge shares have traded between Rs 1,157 and Rs 1,825 over the past one year.
