India Shelter Finance Corp experienced a substantial surge of nearly 8% in its shares on Friday, propelled by a remarkable 67% increase in net profit, reaching ₹60 crore during the second quarter.

The housing finance company disclosed in an exchange filing on Thursday that its interest figures demonstrated a notable ascent, rising by 42% to Rs 167.9 crore in the September quarter, as compared to Rs 118 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

As of 11:45 am, the shares of India Shelter Finance Corp continued their upward trajectory, trading 6.80% higher at ₹567.40.
