Shares of India Glycols surged 3.57% to Rs 1,149.40 in Monday’s session after the company announced the successful commissioning of an additional 200 KLPD (Kilo Litres Per Day) capacity at its grain-based distillery and bio-fuel ethanol facility in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. This expansion boosts the total combined capacity at the plant to 310 KLPD.

The company stated that the newly added capacity includes both grain-based distillation and ethanol-to-bio-fuel conversion. With the commissioning now complete, India Glycols has finished its scheduled enhancement plans for the Gorakhpur unit. This move is expected to strengthen the company’s position in the bio-fuel segment and contribute to future revenue growth.

As of 10:04 AM, the stock was trading at Rs 1,149.40, up Rs 39.60 from the previous close of Rs 1,109.80. The stock hit a day high of Rs 1,150.15 with a market capitalization of Rs 35.59 billion.
