Highway Infrastructure Limited saw its shares climb more than 9% after the company announced a major contract win from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The firm has received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for a project valued at ₹328,77,77,777 for operating and managing the Kaza Fee Plaza on the Chilakaluripet–Vijayawada stretch of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh.

The contract covers operations on a span of 82.5 km from Km. 355.000 to Km. 437.500, and the LOA was officially issued on December 9, 2025. Under the agreement, Highway Infrastructure Limited will be responsible for fee collection at the Kaza Toll Plaza, the upkeep and maintenance of adjoining toilet blocks, and replenishing consumable items as part of service standards mandated by NHAI. The project has been awarded through a competitive e-tendering process and is scheduled to be executed over a period of one year.

NHAI, a domestic statutory authority, is the awarding entity, and the company has clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group companies hold any interest in the authority. The contract also does not fall under related-party transactions.
