Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) shares slipped more than 3% in Friday morning’s trade after the company reported a sharp decline in its September quarter (Q2 FY25) earnings. As of 9:17 AM, the shares were trading 3.61% lower at Rs 25.87.

On a consolidated year-on-year basis, HCC’s revenue fell 31.7% to ₹961 crore, compared to ₹1,407 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s EBITDA also dropped 39.1% to ₹148 crore, down from ₹242 crore a year ago, while the EBITDA margin contracted to 15.4% from 17.2%.

HCC’s net profit stood at ₹47.8 crore, marking a 25.2% decline from ₹63.9 crore in Q2 FY24. The fall in profitability was largely attributed to lower project execution and increased cost pressures.
