Elon Musk on Saturday announced that Grok Code Fast 1, developed by his AI venture xAI, has secured the top position on the OpenRouter leaderboard, surpassing Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4.

According to the latest data, Grok Code recorded 96.5 billion tokens, reflecting a 53% rise in usage, while Claude Sonnet stood at 83.2 billion tokens, down 1%. Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash and Gemini 2.0 Flash held the third and fourth spots with 50.6B and 47.4B tokens respectively.

Other notable models include Qwen3 30B A3B by Qwen in fifth place with 33.1B tokens, DeepSeek’s V3.1 and V3 0324 models, and OpenAI’s GPT-5, which slipped to the tenth spot with 11.1B tokens, a 12% drop.

The leaderboard highlights the growing competition among AI developers, with xAI’s Grok making rapid strides to challenge incumbents like Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI.
