Greenply Industries Ltd. saw a decline of over 2% in its share price following the temporary suspension of operations at the medium-density fiberboard (MDF) plant of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Greenply Speciality Panels Pvt. Ltd.
In a regulatory filing, the company announced that the plant, located in Sherpura village, Vadodara district, Gujarat, was shut down on December 11, 2024, due to a machinery breakdown. Greenply assured stakeholders that the issue is minor, and corrective actions are underway. The company expects production to resume within a few days.
