Shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd surged nearly 2% in the opening trading session of March 28, Thursday after its arm, GVIAL, received ₹394.88 crore from NIIF towards the subscription of 39.48 crore CCDs.

A step-down subsidiary of the company has received Rs 394.88 crore from the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) against a subscription of 39,48,82,351 compulsory convertible debentures (CCDs) of Rs 10 each from GVIAL.

As of 10:09 am, the shares were trading 1.32% higher at ₹80.85.
