State-run Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) reported a strong performance for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, with net profit rising over 20% on a year-on-year basis.

The company posted a net profit of ₹226.22 crore, up 20.79% from ₹187.24 crore in the same quarter last year. The profit before tax also came in at ₹284.89 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to ₹237.02 crore in Q4 FY24, marking a growth of 20.19%.

GMDC’s total income from operations stood at ₹786.29 crore, reflecting a 4.8% increase from ₹750.27 crore in the year-ago period. On a sequential basis, revenue rose from ₹653.42 crore in the previous quarter (Q3 FY25).

For the full financial year FY25, GMDC reported a net profit of ₹685.79 crore, up 14.8% from ₹597.36 crore in FY24. Total income for the year grew to ₹2,850.84 crore, an increase of 15.7% from ₹2,462.88 crore in FY24.

The company maintained steady shareholder value with an EPS (basic and diluted) of ₹7.12 for the quarter, compared to ₹5.88 in Q4 FY24. Reserves (excluding revaluation reserve) improved to ₹6,348.14 crore as of March 31, 2025, from ₹6,036.14 crore a year earlier.
