The power solutions provider reported a sharp rise in consolidated net profit at ₹123 crore in Q4FY25, a more than fivefold increase compared to ₹24.3 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue also more than doubled year-on-year to ₹936.8 crore from ₹420 crore, supported by strong performance in its metering business segment.

Genus Power’s strategic focus on advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and smart grid solutions has helped it emerge as a key player in India’s power distribution transformation. The company is poised to benefit from the country’s accelerating shift toward smart meter installations and grid modernization.

According to Emkay Global, while awarding has been muted in FY25, smart meter implementation is expected to gain significant momentum in FY26 and beyond, offering large-scale growth potential. As of April 2025, only 25 million smart meters have been installed, leaving a substantial untapped market.
