The stock market witnessed significant fund flow activity on January 27, 2025, with contrasting trends between Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) and Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs).
In cash market turnover across NSE and BSE, the total volume reached ₹1,00,487.62 crore, comprising ₹95,150.83 crore on NSE and ₹5,336.79 crore on BSE. The derivatives market witnessed a staggering total turnover of ₹1,80,59,297.04 crore, with ₹1,13,09,459.38 crore from NSE and ₹67,49,837.66 crore from BSE.
FIIs continued to remain net sellers, recording an outflow of ₹5,015.46 crore. Their total purchases stood at ₹9,488.57 crore, while their sales amounted to ₹14,504.03 crore. In contrast, DIIs emerged as net buyers, showing an inflow of ₹6,642.15 crore. Their total purchases totaled ₹16,503.43 crore against sales of ₹9,861.28 crore.
The divergence in fund flow activity highlights the cautious stance of FIIs amid global market uncertainties, while DIIs continue to exhibit confidence in domestic equities.
