Shares of Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries declined more than 4% in trade after the company reported a weak set of earnings for the fourth quarter of FY26, with profitability taking a sharp hit despite relatively stable revenue performance.
For the quarter ended March 2026, the company posted consolidated revenue of Rs. 990.7 crore, down 2.5% year-on-year from Rs. 1,015.5 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year.
Operating performance also remained under pressure during the quarter. EBITDA fell 13.7% YoY to Rs. 170 crore compared to Rs. 197 crore in Q4FY25. EBITDA margin contracted to 17.17% from 19.4% in the year-ago period, indicating pressure on operational efficiency and margins.
The biggest decline was seen in the bottom line. Net profit dropped 47.4% year-on-year to Rs. 104.5 crore versus Rs. 198.8 crore reported in the same quarter last fiscal.
