BSE shares surged over 10%, reaching a 52-week high of Rs 4,989.80 following the National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) announcement to discontinue the weekly expiry of derivatives contracts for the Fin Nifty, Bank Nifty, and Midcap indices starting from November 20, 2024.

Weekly expiry contracts, however, will continue to be available for the Nifty index.

BSE shares opened at Rs 4,536.00, showing steady growth from the previous close of Rs 4,496.45. The day saw a significant upward momentum, reaching a high of Rs 4,989.80.
