Blue Dart Express Ltd., South Asia’s premier express air and logistics company, has announced the strategic expansion of its network by introducing Guwahati as a direct flying location. This move aims to bolster economic momentum in Northeast India, a region vital to the country’s consumption-driven growth.
In a press release issued on April 15, 2025, the company highlighted that the new Guwahati route will enable next-day deliveries to the city and 48-hour delivery services to neighboring states, offering optimized delivery timelines and flexibility through late cut-off and early delivery windows.
With a strong consumption base and growing business hubs in sectors like tea, handicrafts, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture, the region stands to benefit immensely. The initiative is backed by Blue Dart’s Boeing 737-800 freighters, each with a 21-ton capacity, which will help streamline trade flows and ensure faster turnaround times for businesses handling high-value or perishable goods.
Blue Dart’s Managing Director, Balfour Manuel, stated that this network expansion is a vital step to connect the region’s MSMEs and enterprises with national and global supply chains. Chief Commercial Officer Dipanjan Banerjee added that the company’s logistics solutions will now offer greater flexibility and growth opportunities to businesses in the Northeast.
With robust infrastructure, enhanced real-time tracking through API integration, and a commitment to sustainability and innovation, Blue Dart is reaffirming its position as a logistics partner of choice across India.
