Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) shares are in focus as Indonesia has yet to finalize a decision on purchasing missiles from BrahMos Aerospace, a joint venture between India’s DRDO and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyenia.
According to Reuters, Indonesia’s Defence Ministry spokesperson, Frega Wenas, stated that the country is evaluating multiple missile systems, not just BrahMos. This clarification comes after Indonesia’s Defence Minister met with his Vietnamese counterpart, signaling broader regional defense discussions.
The potential deal is significant for India’s defense exports, with BrahMos gaining traction in Southeast Asia following a successful deal with the Philippines. Bharat Dynamics, the Indian manufacturer of BrahMos missiles, could see substantial benefits if Indonesia proceeds with the purchase.
Bharat Dynamics’ shares opened at ₹1,135.20, reaching a high of ₹1,164.20 and a low of ₹1,115.35. The stock’s 52-week high stands at ₹1,794.70, while the low is ₹776.05.
