  • Axis Bank gained 1.45% on BSE to ₹1,271.80 and 1.52% on NSE.
  • HDFC Bank was up 1.47–1.54%.

Other stocks showing gains included Indian Bank, J&K Bank, RBL Bank, SBI, PNB, Bank of Baroda, and Union Bank.

Major Losers in the Banking Sector

  • Central Bank witnessed the steepest fall, declining 5.25% on  BSE to ₹32.13 and 5.45% on NSE.
  • Equitas Small Finance Bank dropped 2.61–2.71%.
  • DCB Bank was down 0.83–0.96%.
  • Jana Small Finance Bank declined 1.45%.

Stocks such as Tamilnad Mercantile Bank, Karnataka Bank, and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank also traded lower.

Most other banking stocks, including Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, and Bandhan Bank saw limited movement with small changes.
