Bajaj Auto shares will be in focus after the company reported an 8 percent year-on-year growth in total sales for May 2025, driven by strong export momentum.
The company’s total sales for May 2025 stood at 3,84,621 units, compared to 3,55,323 units in May 2024.
In the two-wheeler segment, Bajaj Auto reported total sales of 3,32,370 units for the month, up 9 percent from 3,05,482 units a year ago. This was led by a 20 percent jump in two-wheeler exports, which rose to 1,40,958 units from 1,17,142 units. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew 2 percent to 1,91,412 units.
In the commercial vehicle segment, total sales rose 5 percent to 52,251 units from 49,841 units in May 2024. This was supported by a 37 percent surge in exports to 17,930 units, while domestic sales declined 7 percent to 34,321 units.
On a combined basis, total domestic sales for May were largely flat at 2,25,733 units, while exports grew strongly by 22 percent to 1,58,888 units.
For the April-May 2025 year-to-date period, Bajaj Auto reported total sales of 7,50,431 units, up 1 percent from 7,43,579 units in the same period last year.
The two-wheeler exports YTD are up 12 percent, while commercial vehicle exports YTD are higher by 23 percent.
Exports remain the key growth driver for Bajaj Auto, offsetting muted domestic trends in certain segments.
