Auto stocks were trading largely in the green in early trade today, with two-wheeler and commercial vehicle makers leading the gains. Data as of 9:43 AM shows broad-based optimism across the sector, barring a marginal decline in Maruti Suzuki.

Hero MotoCorp was the top gainer, rising 2.16% to ₹3,803.45, while Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) climbed 1.60% to ₹2,708.50. Bajaj Auto advanced 1.45% to ₹7,992.70, and TVS Motor added 1.41% to ₹2,453.95. Ashok Leyland gained 1.34% to ₹206.95, and Eicher Motors moved up 1.17% to ₹5,410.45.

In the passenger vehicle segment, Hyundai rose 1.02% to ₹1,725.10, and Tata Motors was up 0.87% at ₹680.30. EV startup Ola Electric also saw mild gains of 0.74%, trading at ₹53.44.

However, Maruti Suzuki was the only laggard among the key auto names, slipping 0.35% to ₹11,482.00 in early trade.

Overall, the auto pack maintained positive momentum in the morning session, led by two-wheeler and tractor majors.
