Shares of Atul Auto surged over 13% to Rs 499.80 during Monday’s session after the company reported a year-on-year growth of 18.06% in total three-wheeler vehicle sales (domestic and exports) for March 2025. Total units sold during the month stood at 3,693, up from 3,128 units in March 2024.
The surge was primarily driven by a 32.36% YoY increase in IC engine three-wheeler sales, which rose to 2,990 units from 2,259 units. The L5 EV segment also posted impressive growth, with sales soaring 475% to 230 units, compared to just 40 units a year ago. However, L3 EV sales declined 42.94% YoY to 473 units.
For the full financial year FY25, total sales stood at 34,012 units, marking a 30.62% increase over FY24’s 26,039 units. The IC engine segment contributed 25,375 units, up 35.84% YoY, while L5 EV sales rose 266.37% to 1,667 units. L3 EV sales remained nearly unchanged at 6,970 units.
The strong traction in L5 EVs, driven by Atul Greentech Pvt. Ltd., reflects the company’s strategic expansion into electric mobility. In March alone, this segment contributed 234 units to the overall sales.
