Shares of Ather Energy Ltd gained 3.31% to ₹465.05 in Monday’s trade, extending momentum after the electric two-wheeler maker unveiled its all-new EL platform at Ather Community Day 2025.

The EL platform, Ather’s first new vehicle architecture since the 450 series, is designed for versatility, scalability, and cost optimisation. The platform enables faster innovation and allows multiple types of scooters to be built at scale, enhancing both efficiency and rider experience.

New tech and product features

Ather also introduced AtherStack™ 7.0, its biggest technology upgrade yet, which incorporates voice interaction powered by a large language model tuned for Indian dialects. The update will be rolled out as an over-the-air (OTA) software upgrade for select scooters.

Other highlights include:

  • Next-gen fast chargers, delivering double the charging speed, adding up to 30 km range in 10 minutes.

  • Infinite Cruise™, an advanced cruise control system tailored for Indian riding conditions.

  • Upgrades to the Rizta Z, now equipped with a touchscreen dashboard, a new colour option, and Eco Mode.

  • Concept scooter Redux, showcasing Ather’s vision of performance blending scooter agility with motorcycle dynamics.

Strong market positioning

Ather said its EL platform will form the backbone of its new factory at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, designed to meet rising demand. The company emphasized that simplified architecture, reduced components, and advanced safety features such as Advanced Electronic Braking System (AEBS) will strengthen its competitiveness in India’s rapidly expanding EV market.

As of June 30, 2025, Ather operates 4,032 fast and neighborhood chargers globally, including 3,997 across India. The company also holds 318 registered trademarks, 204 registered designs, and 48 patents, underlining its focus on innovation.

Ather’s stock performance reflects growing investor optimism around its ability to scale production and expand its product portfolio amid India’s push to boost manufacturing and EV adoption.
