Shares of PVC pipes and plastic products maker Astral Ltd fell 5.18% on Tuesday, August 12, to Rs 1,310.10 after the company reported a significant drop in quarterly earnings.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2025, Astral posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 81 crore, marking a 32.7% decline from Rs 120 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations came in at Rs 1,361.2 crore, down 1.6% from Rs 1,383.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
At the operating level, EBITDA slipped 13.8% to Rs 185 crore in Q1 FY26 from Rs 214.4 crore a year ago. The EBITDA margin narrowed to 13.6% from 15.5% in the same period last year.
As of the latest trade, Astral’s market performance reflected investor concerns over weaker profitability despite relatively stable revenue.
