The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced a trading holiday on November 20, 2024, due to the Maharashtra Assembly elections. This will mark the third holiday for stock market traders this month, providing an extended break.

According to an official circular, the NSE stated, “The Exchange hereby notifies Wednesday, November 20, 2024, as a trading holiday on account of Assembly Elections in Maharashtra.”

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is expected to follow suit with a similar announcement, as both exchanges typically align on holiday schedules and trading hours.

So far in November, the market was closed on November 1 for Diwali, with a special one-hour Muhurat trading session held in the evening, and it will also be closed on November 15 in observance of Guru Nanak Jayanti.
