Shares of Antony Waste Handling Cell Limited moved over 8% higher following the announcement of a new contract awarded to its subsidiary, Antony Lara Enviro Solutions Private Limited, by Thane Municipal Corporation.

The contract relates to the development of a solid waste pre-processing facility with a capacity of 600–800 tonnes per day. The project will be executed on a Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) basis at Atkoli, Taluka Bhiwandi, on land owned by the municipal corporation.

As part of the scope of work, the subsidiary will set up a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for segregation of mixed municipal solid waste. The responsibilities include design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of the facility for a period of 10 years.

The total project capital expenditure is estimated at around ₹67 crore. This amount will be reimbursed by Thane Municipal Corporation based on the achievement of specified milestones, as outlined in the tender conditions.

The contract carries an estimated value of approximately ₹330 crore for the 10-year concession period. The development adds to the company’s existing portfolio of municipal solid waste management projects and provides long-term revenue visibility linked to urban waste processing operations.
