Shares of Adani Enterprises saw a significant rise of nearly 2% in Tuesday’s morning session after the company’s promoters increased their stakes. According to a regulatory filing on Friday, the promoters now hold a 73.95% stake in the company. They acquired an additional 2.02% stake between September 8, 2023, and June 12, 2024.
In September 2023, Adani Enterprises revealed that Kempas Trade and Investment Ltd had purchased a 0.61% stake between August 21 and 22, 2023. Additionally, Infinite Trade and Investment Ltd bought a 1.46% stake between August 30 and September 7, 2023.
Indian market regulations prevent promoters from owning more than a 75% stake in a company. With these recent acquisitions, Adani Enterprises’ promoters are approaching this limit.
