Shares of Acme Solar Holdings Ltd gained 1.96% on Monday to close at ₹302.10 on the NSE after the company announced a significant move to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio. The solar energy firm has placed an order for 2 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with Chuzhou Lishen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, a global leader in advanced energy solutions.

The deal was facilitated through POSCO International Corporation, South Korea’s integrated business giant, and China FAW Group Import and Export Co., Ltd, the global trading arm of FAW Group. According to Acme Solar, deliveries will take place in multiple phases over the next six to ten months.

Once fully supplied, the systems will be deployed across the company’s Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) projects as well as standalone BESS projects. These are expected to be commissioned in the next 12–18 months, marking a milestone in Acme Solar’s efforts to deliver round-the-clock renewable power.
