Use Private Health Bodies advised by World Bank to India. This pandemic has augmented the realitiy of deplorable condition of India’s healthcare system. In the veiw of Covid 19 crisis World Bank has advised India to make use of it private bodies to fill the gaps in the fragile health system of the country.

Private bodies meet 60% of demand in the country. Leveraging private clinics and Direct Benefit Transfer may be can be used as tool to increase engagement with private sector. As said by Junaid Ahmed, country director of World Bank in a meeting. This was held between 15th Finance Commission. Also, representatives of World Bank and Niti Ayog.

Moreover Junaid Ahmed stated the importance of expenditure in health sector not only for the social empowerment but also for economic growth of the country.

There is a need of Public Financial Management reforms which are to be based on population rather than historical norms. This will improve the  health care spending of the country. World Bank has also observed the the quality of healthcare services provided vary from state to state.

There is also a scope in improving the health care services. Which is by bringing reforms using innovations, technology, leveraging,coordination and empowering states.

World Bank has also underlined the importance to relate National Health Mission to per capita expenditure on health and ensure significant spending in poorer states.
