The cost of 19 kilogram LPG gas cylinders has been reduced nationwide by oil marketing businesses. Delhi has experienced a drop of Rs 100. At the same time, other metros have seen a reduction of about Rs 93. Delhi will now be able to get a 19 kg cylinder for Rs 1680, down from Rs 1780 previously. These pricing became effective on August 1, 2023, or as of right now. The revised pricing have been updated on the website of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
In comparison to other metros, Kolkata will now provide the commercial cylinder for Rs 1802.50 rather than Rs 1895.50. A 19 kilogram gas cylinder in Mumbai will thereafter cost Rs 1640.50 instead of Rs 1733.50 as at this point. The price of the cylinder that was once accessible in Chennai for Rs 1945 has been reduced by Rs 92.50 to Rs 1852.50. In Kolkata and Mumbai, the cost of a gas cylinder has been significantly cut by Rs 93. The 19 kilogram LPG cylinder rates were most recently updated on July 4 of this year.
Prices for residential cooking gas or 14.2 kilogram LPG cylinders haven’t changed in the meanwhile. The last time the cost of cooking gas cylinders for home usage was updated was on March 1 of this year. In Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai, a non-subsidized 14.2 kilogram LPG cylinder costs Rs 1,103, Rs 1,129, Rs 1,102.50, and Rs 1,118.50.
Rates for LPG cylinders are updated on the first of every month. After price reductions in April, May, and June, LPG cylinder rates were raised for the first time in June. The last increase in LPG cylinder costs occurred on March 1 and was for Rs 50 per cylinder. Thereafter, costs decreased by Rs 91.50 per cylinder in April and by Rs 171.50 in May. In June, LPG cylinder costs were reduced by Rs 83.50 per cylinder.
