54th CISF raising day held at NISA in Hyderabad

In order to celebrate its glorious 53 years of dedicated service and relentless service to the industrial units and other establishments in the country, the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) celebrated its 54th annual Raising Day at CISF National Industrial Security Academy in Hakimpet near here on Sunday.

Union Home Minister Amid Shah presided over and took salute & inspected the CISF Ceremonial Parade.


Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and Union Tourism Minister Kishan participated in the event, CISF Raising Day is observed every year during March throughout the country, however, this year, this is the first CISF raising day celebrated outside the Delhi-NCR.

During the last 53 years, CISF has grown manifold in its credibility and capability and today, with strength of more than 1.70 lakh personnel, CISF provides security cover to 354 vital installations of the country including 66 airports, seaports, nuclear and pace installations, Delhi metro, steel and power plants.

The Special Security group (SSG) of CISF provides security to 147 various categories of protectees and it is also providing Fire Service cover to 111 units.
