Viral sensation Monalisa Bhosle, known as the “Kumbh Mela girl,” has made serious allegations of sexual harassment against filmmaker Sanoj Mishra. In an emotional press conference in Kochi on March 25, 2026, the young actress broke down in tears while accusing Mishra of touching her inappropriately multiple times during the shoot of her debut film.

“I know what happened to me,” Monalisa said in the viral video. “Sanoj Mishra is not a good person. He touched me wrongly 10 times.” She claimed her family did not support her when she complained, urging her to stay silent because it was her first movie. In a shocking statement, she asked, “Film ke liye rape karoge kya?” (Will you rape me for a film?)

The allegations come days after Monalisa’s interfaith marriage to Farman Khan sparked controversy. Mishra had publicly criticised the wedding, calling it “love jihad” and claiming she was a victim. Monalisa now says the director is using the marriage to harass her further and spread false narratives. She has requested security from the Central and Uttar Pradesh governments, fearing for her and her husband’s safety.

Mishra has responded in a video message, calling the claims part of a larger campaign against him and hinting it could be his “last video.” He had earlier offered Monalisa the lead role in his film The Diary of Manipur.

The case has divided social media. Some users support Monalisa’s courage, while others question the timing after her marriage. Her family and villagers have reportedly denied some of her claims and stood by the director.

This latest development highlights ongoing concerns about safety and power dynamics in the film industry. Police are yet to comment officially, but Monalisa’s plea for justice has gone viral, drawing attention from across the country.
