‘The Big Bang Theory’ fame Kate Micucci revealed she was diagnosed with lung cancer. For the unversed, she is known for her role as Lucy on ‘The Big Bang Theory’.
Kate Micucci shared the news of her diagnosis in a TikTok video. In the video, she said, “Hey everybody, this is not a TikTok, it’s a ‘Sick Tok.’ I’m in the hospital, but it’s because I had lung cancer survey yesterday.” Kate Micucci added, “They caught it really early. It’s pretty weird because I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life. So, you know, it was a surprise, but also, I guess it happens.” In the comments section, Kate Micucci also shared how she found out about lung cancer. She explained, “I had one thing in my bloodwork that came back really high…It was HCRP…not sure what that is exactly but I guess it means there is inflammation somewhere. So I went to a preventative doc who did a few scans. He scanned my heart, and that’s where the spot in my lung was noticed.”
The video is all over the social media platform X. Reacting to the viral video, one of the users wrote, “That’s terrible shock, but so glad she is getting through and past it, hopefully. She’s been fantastic in everything I’ve seen her in.” Another commented, “She is a wonderful performer, and I hope she makes a full recovery and they give her primo drugs.” Many wished for her speedy recovery.
