
Actor-filmmaker Rahul Ravindran took to his Twitter handle on Tuesday and announces that he is looking for a female assistant director (AD) to join his team as begins his new work on his new project. Adding to this, the actor also announced he was all on board to work with a transgender AD as well gave the assurance of a respectful working environment.
Staring his career as an actor, Rahul made his directional debut with the National award-winning Telugu film, Chi La Sow. Teaming up with the actor Nagarjuna for a Telugu romantic comedy, his second directional project Manmadhudu 2 bombed at the box office.

Not only was he encouraging female candidates, but also welcomed transgender AD with a warm heart. “Interested transgender candidates are also welcome to apply. If hired, I assure you a respectable work environment,” he added to his tweet.

His tweets comment section regarding the open space for transgenders made several fans write to him saying that they respect him for his initiative.
Besides all his popularity of being an actor and a filmmaker, Rahul is married to singer and dubbing artiste, Chinmayi Sripaada.
During the Me Too movement when Chinmayi called out lyricist Vairamuthu and faced several backlashed from several members of the Tamil film fraternity, actor Rahul stood up by her and became the biggest pillar of support throughout it all.
