Rising Telugu actor and content creator K Bharat Kanth, popularly known as Bharath Kanth or Katti Bharath Kanth, tragically lost his life in a horrific road accident near Hyderabad on May 10, 2026. The 31-year-old from Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district was driving when his car collided with a stationary container lorry on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Adibatla’s Exit 12, between Bongloor/Thukkuguda and Shamshabad. His friend and fellow artist, cinematographer G Sai Trilok, also 31 from Nellore, died on the spot alongside him.
Police reports indicate Bharat Kanth lost control of the vehicle in the early hours, possibly due to overspeeding or driver fatigue, causing severe impact that dislodged the lorry’s rear wheels and mangled the car. Adibatla police registered a case under rash and negligent driving, with bodies sent for post-mortem as investigations continue.
Promising Career Cut Short
Bharat Kanth had gained popularity through short films, web series, and viral YouTube sketches blending humor and Telugu culture. His final Instagram post, now viral, showed behind-the-scenes glimpses from a recent shoot, radiating youthful energy. Known for relatable content as “Katti Bharath,” he built a dedicated fanbase among Gen Z Tollywood enthusiasts, collaborating with emerging directors on digital platforms.
Sai Trilok, a skilled cinematographer and YouTuber, often partnered with Bharat, capturing dynamic visuals for indie projects. The duo’s Nellore roots fueled their Hyderabad hustle, eyeing bigger Tollywood breaks amid Pushpa 2 wave.
Industry Mourns Young Talents
Tributes poured in from Telugu cinema circles, with director duo Raj & DK calling it “devastating,” and YouTubers sharing memories of collaborative shoots. Fans trended #RIPBharatKanth, lamenting “such promise lost too soon.” This follows recent Tollywood tragedies, spotlighting road safety amid high-speed ORR crashes killing over 200 yearly.
The accident underscores perils facing young artists commuting between shoots. As post-mortems confirm cause, Nellore bids emotional farewell. Bharat and Sai’s digital legacy endures through millions of views, inspiring safer journeys for peers chasing stardom.
