The fourth season of the programme premiered with Shehzada Dhami, Samridhii Shukla, and Pratiksha Honmukhe as the stars. Shehzada Dhami portrayed Armaan, while Pratiksha Honmukhe played Ruhi.
However, their sudden departure from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai startled everyone. Shehzada and Pratiksha were frequently criticised for their lack of professionalism on set. In a recent interview, Rajan Shahi made another surprising disclosure regarding Shehzada.
In an interview with Telly Talk, Rajan Shahi said that their dismissal was due to their lack of professionalism. He revealed that Shehzada Dhami’s attitude on the sets was not appropriate. He recalled a couple instances during the Mahabaleshwar filming schedule when he felt Shehzada’s approach was wrong.
Rajan Shahi also revealed a frightening event in which Shehzada Dhami urged him to change his assistant. Shehzada showed up late for the shoot. When asked, Shehzada stated that he was not notified by the assistant. This did not go well with Rajan Shahi, who stated that the assistant has been with the crew for 20 years and understands when and what happens on the sets.
So Shehzada started yelling and demanded Rajan Shahi to choose between him and his 20-year-old assistant. It was the final blow, and the makers had to make the difficult decision.
Rajan Shahi said that he spoke with the actor several times, but nothing changed. The producer also remarked that Shehzada Dhami’s performance fell short of expectations. Rajan Shahi also commented on Shehzada’s desire to be called as ‘Sir’ on the sets.
Another stunning assertion stated by Rajan Shahi is that Shehzada Dhami would not remember the screenplay or his dialogues and would rather argue that he does not have time, thus the script should be read to him. His starry attitude led to his dismissal.
Rajan Shahi stated that the basis for Pratiksha Honmukhe’s discharge differed from that of Shehzada Dhami. Shehzada was succeeded by Rohit Purohit, and Garvita Sadhwani took over for Pratiksha Honmukhe.
