After a long time, Yeh Rishta Kya kehlata hai will have the character Keerti back in the show. After Mohena Kumari Singh quit the show last year in June 2019, there was no one to replace her as Hina Khan’s daughter-in-law Keerti. Now according to the reports by Spotboye, the makers of the show have finally brought in an actress who would play Keerti.
The new girl to come on board is Harsha Khandeparkar. As informed by the sources, she had in fact, already shot for her entry promo with Naksh (Shehzad Shaikh). Harsha was last seen in Star Bharat’s RadhaKrishn and had also been part of shows like Uttran and Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha.
As per the reports, Mohena Kumari Singh, who formerly played Keerti, quit the show last year in June as she had plans to get married in October 2019. The actress who got married to Suyesh Rawat is now settled in Uttrakhand. Recently a piece of news was out that Mohena and her family were affected by the COVID-19 and were hospitalised in AIIMS and were tested negative after month-long fighting with the infection. As for Harsha replacing her, it will be interesting to see if she manages to receive the same love from the audience.
