In a tragic turn of events, television personality Dolly Sohi and her sister Amandeep Sohi died. The Jhanak and Parineetii actress died on Friday, March 8, just hours after her sister Amandeep did. Dolly was battling cervical cancer, and Amandeep died of jaundice. The Times of India’s ETimes TV confirmed their deaths.
In a statement to the main newspaper, Dolly’s family wrote, “Our beloved Dolly has left for her heavenly abode today early morning. We are in a state of shock over the loss. The final rites shall be conducted today afternoon.”
The heartbreaking news came just hours after the actress’ brother, Manu, revealed the death of his other sister, television actress Amandeep Sohi.
Amandeep Sohi passed away on Thursday, March 7. The actress was highly renowned for her role in Badtameez Dil. Her brother, Manu Sohi, told numerous media sites that Amandeep died from jaundice. “It is true that Amandeep is no more. Her body had given up. She had jaundice, but we were not in a position to question the doctor for more information,” he told ETimes.
At the same time, Manu added that Dolly was not in critical condition and had been instructed to relax in the hospital. Dolly was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2023. Dolly was reportedly sent to the emergency room at a hospital earlier this year due to respiratory issues.
Late last year, she revealed she was on chemotherapy. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “THANK U EVERYONE FOR SENDING YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS Life has been a Roller Coaster lately, But if u have the strength to fight with it then ur journey becomes easier. It’s up to u what do u choose to be A Victim Of Journey (CANCER) Or A Survivor Of Journey ❣️❣️.” Dolly is survived by a daughter.
