Taarak Mehta’s Ooltah Chashmah: It’s been about a week since actor Gurucharan Singh, who played Roshan Singh Sodhi in Asit Modi’s programme, went missing. On April 22, 2024, the actor was scheduled to fly from Delhi to Mumbai.
However, he did not board the flight and has been missing since then. When his family couldn’t reach him after a few days, his father filed a missing person report with the police on April 26, 2024.
Several theories have emerged about the reason for his sudden disappearance. Jennifer Mistry recently discussed her last meeting with the actor, including whether he was distressed at the time.
Jennifer Mistry revealed in an interview with Telly Masala that Gurucharan Singh had been absent for about a week. She stated that her last conversation with him was in June 2023, regarding her case against Asit Modi. She called him last year to wish him a good birthday (his birthday is in May), and he assured her of his support in her legal action against Asit.
They met in June of last year and have not contacted each other since. In the same interview, Jennifer stated that, while she has no contact with Gurucharan’s parents, she hopes he returns soon because his parents are elderly and very close to their son.
Jennifer recalled her last meeting with Gurucharan and noted that he did not appear distressed at the time; rather, he was always a fun-loving person. During their last meeting, Gurucharan recommended Jennifer pursue spiritual courses that would assist her both personally and professionally.
She further said that Gurucharan eventually told her that he couldn’t back her in the case against Asit Modi since the producer had lately paid off all of his bills. Jennifer stated that she had not been in touch with the actor since their previous meeting.
According to current updates, the actor remained in Delhi till April 24, 2024, when his mobile phone was turned off. It is also reported that the actor planned to wed and was coping with financial difficulty at the same time.
