Shark Tank India Season 3 debuted in January 2024, and since then, the show has produced many exciting occurrences. What’s also amazing is that the prestigious panel of ‘Sharks’ has expanded to 12 investors, and there appears to be a new member in the pack.

Yes, film producer Ronnie Screwvala (co-founder of UpGrad) has joined the show as the new ‘shark’. A teaser for the show has also been released, and hearing his success story makes it much more intriguing to see what he will bring to the show.

In his introduction video, Ronnie shares how coming from a humble background and having no sense of self-entitlement helped him on the professional front. With a journey of three decades, Ronnie also visited his eight failures and two successes, and shared, “If I hadn’t had the eight failures, my two successes may not have been as big as I wanted them to be…” In the video, Ronnie also shares all the work he does in the educational arena, and how living in a joint family has helped him to work collaboratively with people.

Ronnie co-founded UpGrad with three other people in 2015. Aside from this, he co-founded the Swades Foundation in 2013 and has worked relentlessly to improve rural India.

 

Aside from Peyush Bansal, Amita Jain, Vineeta Singh, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, and Namita Thapar, this season’s new ‘sharks’ include Deepinder Goyal, Ritesh Agarwal, Azhar Iqubal, Radhika Gupta, Varun Dua, and Ronnie, the most recent addition.

Shark Tank India Season 3 has captivated viewers not just for its pitches but also for the new’sharks’ who have injected a new vitality to the show.
