Is Sony TV’s Srimad Ramayana going off-air? Here’s what we know

Sony TV’s epic programme Srimad Ramayana has received a lot of love and acclaim. However, there had been whispers for quite some time that the show might go off television. According to a few media reports, the show will end in June.

In an interview with the Times of India, Sujay addressed the issue and dismissed the rumours. Sujay, who plays Lord Rama in the programme, reveals that there are several sequences in the show that have yet to be revealed, including the Sunderkand and Yudhkand. He claims that this is impossible if the show goes off the air in June.

Sujay goes on to say that the show is very important to him and that anytime it goes off broadcast, he is upset. Sujay says, “Shrimad Ramayan has been the biggest landmark in my career so far so whenever this show goes off-air, I will definitely get emotional. Jis bhi din off-air hoga main thoda emotional to zarur hojaayega because ye show mere liye Baaki saare shows se alag hai.”

Siddharth Kumar Tewary produced Srimad Ramayana, which stars Sujay Reu and Prachi Bansal as Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, respectively.
