The grand finale of MasterChef Australia Season 13 premiered on July 13. An Indian-origin contestant Justin Narayan won the title. Justin beat three other finalists and made his way towards the trophy.

The winner shared an Instagram post after his win. In the post, we can see some pictures from the finale episode. He wrote, “Find people that believe in you. Back yourself. Go hard and hopefully you’ll surprise yourself! Whoever’s reading this I love you.”

The official page of MasterChef Australia shared a video of Justin in which he was seen expressing his feeling after the win. The post was captioned as “We think it’s safe to say @justinnarayan’s mind is blown right now! 🤯 #MasterChefAU.”

Fans congratulated him in the comment section. One of them called him ‘underdog’ and wrote, “It is so amazing when the underdog wins! Simply superb. Many congratulations to Justin ❤️👏.” Another fan wrote, “Oh my god… the underdog..!! Sick man sick..!! So proud of you..!!! Go, Justin..!!”

Along with the title of ‘MasterChef Australia’ and the winning trophy, Justin took home a cash prize of USD 250,000 (Approximately Rs. 1.86 crores). Justin Narayan is not the first one from Indian-origin to win the show. Earlier, prison guard Sashi Cheliah had won the MasterChef Australia in 2018.

The other two finalists of the show were Kishwar Chowdhury and Pete Campbell, who stood as second and the first runner up, respectively.

A few days ago, MasterChef Australia’s official page posted a video explaining Justin’s entire journey on the show. In the video, Justin talked about his love for different cuisines and experimenting with dishes. He revealed that he takes inspiration from Fijian and Indian heritage.

On the show, judges were impressed by his several dishes including some Indian cuisines like Chicken curry, Indian chicken tacos, and Charcoal Chicken with Toum.
