On the 2nd of March, the 11th season of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa announced its winner. The season had been an exciting journey for the contestants and finally, the winner Manisha Rani graced the trophy with her choreographer Ashutosh Pawar. The show was judged by Arshad Warsi, Farah Khan and Malaika Arora.
As the season has come to an end, let’s have a look at all the winners of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa since season 1.
1. Mona Singh and Toby Fernandes
Mona Singh shined her way in the first season of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa and won prize money of Rs 50 lakhs. She won the show with her choreographer Toby Fernandes. Following the victory, Mona Singh rose to fame and was cast in several shows such as “Kya Hua Tera Vaada,” and “Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi.”
2. Prachi Desai and Deepak Singh
Prachi Desai’s luck charmed in the dance reality show when she won the second season of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. She was choreographed by Deepak Singh. Her victory in the show led her to shift towards Bollywood. She worked in films such as Rock on, Bol Bachchan, Teri Meri Kahaani and many more.
3. Baichung Bhutia and Sonia Jaffer
Baichung Bhutia, at the age of 37 won the prize money of Rs 40 lakhs in the third season. He was choreographed by Sonia Jaffer. Has established 13 football centres across India and retired from International Football in 2012. Baichung joined politics and became a member of All India Trinamool in 2014.
4. Meiyang Chang and Marischa Fernandez
Meiyang Chang featured in season 4 of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa and won the prize money of Rs 50 lakhs. Later on, he even starred in various Bollywood films such as Badmaash Company. Chang even anchored shows such as Mirchi Music Awards, Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, and India’s Got Talent.
5. Gurmeet Chaudhary and Shampa Gopikrishna
Gurmeet won season 5 of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa due to his exceptional dancing skills. Following the win in Jhalak, he appeared in Khatron Ke Khiladi, Nach Baliye season 6 and Fear Factor. He even debuted in Punjabi cinema with Yaar Mera Rab Warga.
6. Drashti Dhami and Salman Yusuff Khan
Drashti turned out to be a remarkable dancer in season 6 of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. She collaborated with her choreographer Salman and graced the trophy, securing Rs 50 lakhs.
7. Ashish Sharma and Shampa Gopikrishna
Ashish Sharma and Shampa Gopikrishna won the seventh season of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. In 2019, he even portrayed the role of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the web series ‘Modi- A Journey of a Common Man.’
8. Faisal Khan and Vaishnavi
Faisal Khan won the 8th season of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa with his choreographer Vaishnavi. He debuted in the Marathi film Prem Kahani. In 2022, he portrayed the role of Lord Garuda in Dharm Yoddha Garud.
9. Teriya Magar and Aryan Patra
Teriya Magar emerged as a winner in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa after her victory in DID Li’l Masters. She joined the ninth season of the dance reality show as a wild card entry and won a prize money of Rs 30 lakhs.
10. Gunjan Sinha and Tejas Verma
Gunjan Saxena aced her performance in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa season 10. She won a prize money of Rs 20 lakhs.
11. Manisha Rani and Ashutosh Pawar
Manisha Rani won this year’s Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa season 11 with her choreographer Ashutosh Pawar. Rising to fame from Bigg Boss OTT 2, the social media star won the prize money of Rs 30 lakh in the dance reality show. Her choreographer won a prize money of Rs 10 lakhs.
