EXCLUSIVE: Ex Bigg Boss contestant Sapna Choudhary on her new TV show, ‘Crime serials are made to make people aware, not to provoke them’

Sapna Choudhary along with Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan will be seen in a new crime based serial “Mauka-E-Vardaat.”

From 9th March 2021, &TV is coming up with a weekday crime series named ‘Mauka-E-Vardaat’. In this series, singer and Member of Parliament from North East Delhi constituency Manoj Tiwari, actor and Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur constituency Ravi Kishan and Haryanvi dancer Sapna Choudhary will be seen unraveling the mysteries from the world of crime.

Recently, web-series Mirzapur was questioned for showing crime scenes and it was alleged that the show provoke and inspire people to do crime.

In an interaction with her, Chirag Jha of Business Upturn asks the same to Sapna Choudhary that when a section of people are questioning crime based series as they allegedly provokes people to do crime, how you think it would be a challenge for you to go ahead with your serial. Sapna Choudhary responds, “We don’t make crime serials to provoke people, we just make this to aware our society about the various crimes that are happening and how they can handle it.”

“If few unsocial people are having such mindset that they get inspire from crime scenes, then we cannot do anything about it,” Sapna adds.

“Our main motive behind ‘Mauka-E-Vardaat’ series is to make our society aware about various crimes so that they can prevent themselves from doing such mistakes or if they become a victim of such crimes, they can handle it,” Sapna concludes.
