Dharmendra gets emotional as contestants pay tribute to late Dilip Kumar on ‘Indian Idol 12’

Dharmendra recalled the memories of late Dilip Kumar on the set of Indian Idol 12. The veteran actor was a special guest on the show along with actress Anita Raaj.

Veteran actor Dharmendra will be seen fondly remembering the late actor Dilip Kumar on Sony TV’s singing show ‘Indian Idol 12’. The actor will be on the show as a special guest with his former co-star Anita Raaj, who is presently seen in a Television romantic drama ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’. In the latest promo, shared by Sony TV, Dharmendra is seen mounding praise on Dilip Kumar and how he flourished as an actor under his guidance.

This week, Indian Idol 12 will pay a tribute to the legendary actor Dilip Kumar.  Remembering ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ actor, Dharmendra said, “Abhi hum sadme se ubhre nahi hain…meri jaan the woh. Maine apni zindagi ki pehli film inhi ki dekhi thi. Aur inko dekh ke itna pyaar aya, mujhe laga mujhe bhi isi tarah industry mein pyaar mile…Dilip Sahab jitne azeem fankaar the usse bhi azeez insaan the (We are still not over the shock of losing Dilip Kumar…he was very dear to me. The first film that I saw was about him. I felt so much love towards him watching him on screen and hoped to receive similar love and affection when I join the film industry. Dilip Sahab was a great actor but he was a greater human being).”

After the death of the ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ actor, Dharmendra took to his social media handle to share a picture with the late actor’s body and tweeted, “Saira ne jab kaha. ‘Dharam, dekho Sahab ne palak jhapki hai’ Dosto , jaan nikal gai meri. Maalik mere pyaare bhai ko jannat naseeb kare. Dosto , mujhe dikhwa nahin aata lekin main apne jazbaat par qaaboo bhi nahin paata . Apne samajh ke kah jaata hoon.”
