On the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode in Bigg Boss 19, Salman Khan addressed a controversial remark made by Malti towards fellow contestant Nehal, confronting her head-on about a statement that sparked outrage in the house.
Salman questioned Malti Chahar, asking, “‘Next time kapde pehen kar baat kar merese’ – isse aapka kya matlab tha?” The remark, made during a heated argument with Nehal Chudasama, was widely perceived as body-shaming and disrespectful.
In her defense, Malti clarified that her comment was misunderstood. She said, she did not mean that women should not wear ‘chhote kapde’, as Nehal interpreted it. Instead, she explained, “Jab se main Bigg Boss bahar dekh kar aayi hu, yaha par bohot strong AC hai, mujhe bohot thand lagti, aur I see Nehal.. bohot short kapdo mein.. toh inko thand kyun nahi lagti hai, which is not wrong at all.”
As Malti attempted to justify her comment, Baseer Ali interrupted, whispering, “Absolutely baseless,” a sentiment that was echoed by several housemates, who visibly agreed with him.
To gauge the house’s response, Salman asked how many contestants were satisfied with Malti’s explanation. Not a single hand was raised. Reacting to the unanimous silence, Salman responded with visible disbelief: “Oh My God.”
The exchange highlighted the importance of being mindful with words, especially in a public space like the Bigg Boss house. Salman’s stern questioning served as a reminder that remarks perceived as personal or judgmental, especially about clothing or appearance, carry weight and can deeply affect others.
