In the last two episodes we have seen Shalin Bhanot fighting with Gautam Singh Vig and calling him a ‘woman’ in a rather derogatory manner. He said, “Teri daadhi bacha rahi hai teri mardangi.” He even said Gautam is the prettiest of all women in the house.

This however, did not go down well with many ex contestants, journalists and even fans of the most controversial show of the country, Bigg Boss. During last night’s captaincy task, Shalin Bhanot while eliminating Gautam Singh Vig from the captaincy task said, “yeh ek bahut badhi jo janani hai, usay main captaincy se nikaalna chahunga.” Shalin even called Gautam a sister of Soundarya Sharma.

Netizens and especially many ex contestants, who are a fan of Bigg Boss, have called out Shalin Bhanot for considering the word ‘Ladhki,’ ‘janani,’ ‘girl,’ and/or ‘woman,’ derogatory. Gauahar Khan, the winner of Bigg Boss season 7 took to her Twitter account and voiced her opinion on the issues and said that women are not weak to be used against a man. While referring to Shalin’s mother, Gauahar even mentioned how he should be aware of the power and strength of a woman, since he is born from one.

Not just Gauahar Khan, even Rajiv Adatia had similar thoughts to express for Shalin Bhanot’s extremely misogynistic remarks against women.

One of the famous journalists, Nayandeep Rakshit also pointed out Shalin’s misogyny on his Twitter handle:
