In one such snippet from Unseen Undekha, Hina and Gauahar are seen talking to each other. Hina shares, how her sister in law, Sonam was all excited to change her surname to ‘Khan’ on social media. She even went on to name her cat ‘ Khan’. Gauahar, who was listening said that it was so sweet of her(Sonam) to do that. While talking to Gauahar, Hina reminisced how her ‘bhabi’ ( sister-in- law) calls her brother ‘Meow’. ” Meow toh woh mere bhai ko bulati ha….meri maa ko kitna bura lagta ha” ( She calls my brother ‘ meow’ , but my mother feels so bad about it)
Listening to that, Gauahar laughed out loud. ” Mera bhai usko Champa bulata ha, aur wo meow bulati ha usko” said Hina. ( My brother calls her Champa and she in return calls him meow). Hina says that they mystery behind their names are still unknown to the family. It’s been 9 years to their relationship, but nobody in the family knows why the couple has named each other so. Hina also shared how she calls her ‘ Bhabhi’ ( sister-in- law) Champa as well. Her father too, calls her that at times. But Hina’s mother hates their names, and prefers calling her ‘ bahu’ ( Daughter-in-Law) Sonu instead.
We all know, how lovers give cutesy name to each other. But the mystery behind ‘ Champa and Meow’ still remains unresolved.
