Bigg Boss 14 introduced us to the whole new concept of ‘Toofani Seniors’. Ex-contestants Sidharth Shukla, Hina Khan, and Gauahar Khan entered the show as seniors, to guide the housemates and in turn, add on the spice and drama to the show. The opinion on their entry is highly polarised. Some loved the seniors with Sidharth Shukla trending on social media almost every day. Others believed they were hogging all the limelight. Seems like the views of Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde align with the second opinion.
Shilpa Shinde was allegedly set to be entering the show as a senior, after the departure of the current Toofani Seniors. The rumour mills had even churned out the report of her entering the house around Diwali. The actor has now cleared the air once and for all. In a report of Times of India, the actor was quoted saying, “I am not entering this season as I have always maintained that I have moved on from this show. Right now I am busy with something which is big. I love to do different things and repetition is not my thing. My audience has always seen me in different avatars and my upcoming avatar will again surprise them.”
She further went to clear the air on her opinion on the new concept. She said, “Last but not the least I don’t understand why previous BB season contestants even enter the show. I want to ask is it not unfair to the current lot of contestants?”
The actor did enter the show in the twelfth season. But it was just a guest entry, that too for a task.
