In an Extra Masala clip Kashmera Shah is seen sharing some details about her initial days in her career when she had to struggle for a while and then was on a roll working in big movies and with bigger names.
The clip starts as Kashmera Shah is cutting veggies with Eijaz Khan and is telling him about the struggles of her career. She tells him about her first film which was Shah Rukh Khan’s “Yess Boss”, she tells him how she was casted as an older character than her real age because she looked bit sofisticated and tall and she had to hide her real age from the producers so that she doesn’t loose her first break. But that didn’t lasted long because while she was in Switzerland shooting, the producers daughter who was Kashmera’s junior in school identified her and told her father, but she didn’t loose her job, producers were impressed.
Then her real struggle started but she signed two movies as second lead within a week, ” Saazish and Pyaar toh hona hi tha”.
Later she even got the main lead parts and did movies and then came the offer of doing a dance number in a movie. Her industry friends warned her against that but she did it and next she was only offered dance numbers for some time.
People did noticed her in that one dance number and she was offered the movie “Jungle” , with that role she made her mark in industry. But the struggle never ends. That’s life.
