Prominent film critic Rajeev Masand joined filmmaker Karan Johar‘s talent management company Dharma Cornerstone(DCA) as its new Chief Operating Officer. Johar had announced this new venture in December last year in partnership with Bunty Sajdeh.
Sajdeh’s talent management agency Cornerstone, founded in 2008, manages prominent sports persons like Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, Vinesh Phogat, KL Rahul Sania Mirza, and Yuvraj Singh.
Rajeev Masand is a noted journalist and critic. He has been working in the entertainment industry for over two decades now. As COO, he will focus on development at Dharma Cornerstone Agency by providing various avenues for individuals. “Harvesting quick decision-making and profitable partnerships amongst stakeholders and individuals, Masand’s position aims to align with the agency’s vision and values to elevate its progress and success in the industry,” a statement from the company read. It further stated that the agency aims at creating a benchmark in artist management and representation in the country.
However, Johar’s frequent denigrator Kangana Ranaut is not pleased with this outcome. She took a jibe at Johar for appointing Masand. The actress has a turbulent relationship with the filmmaker. She has accused him as the “flag-bearer of nepotism” on his chat show. The statement created a much-publicized war between the two.

In her tweet, Kangana mocks Masand. She states how he manipulated her relationship with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She also criticized him for creating a hype out of mediocre talent in the industry.
